My First Project

Didn't know what to make for my first project as I'm not very good at reading the patterns yet, so I wanted to do something easy.

Found a pattern for some simple gloves, had enough wool, but oh I didn't have the right needles.

Surely using 6mm needles instead of 5mm wont make that much difference, will it?

Worked out the tension, but didn't really understand it, and I got started.

A few hours later I was sewing up my right glove to finish it, feeling  very proud of myself, and then I tried it on.

Only to find it would have fitted Goliath, it was massive!

Knitting and Crochet

I needed to do something to keep my hands supple as I have really bad Arthritis in them.

My Granny taught me to knit and crochet as a child, and I thought it would be good to do it again for my hands. But when I looked into lessons they were so expensive!

I saw on twitter that a Stitch & Bitch group had started in my area and was having it's second meeting that night.

So I dug out some needles and wool and had a go, I didn't want to turn up if I'd forgotten how to do it.

I was quite pleased with my first effort.

So then came the hard bit, actually getting there as I suffer from
Panic Attacks, I did get there, and met some wonderful people who made me feel most welcome.

Spoilt Rotten

In this house there is only one priority, my beloved Badger Boo I don't believe in dressing him up, or feeding him non doggy treats, but he is part of our family and as such gets spoilt rotten.

He goes everywhere with Himself and I and we look forward to the weekends when we spend family time together. So when on Friday night he started to limp we were very concerned, it was nearly midnight. I had to choose did I call the Vet or leave it until Saturday?

After much debate I decided to leave it until the morning as it wasn't a life threatening condition, as a result had very little sleep as he was whimpering most of the night.

I couldn't give him any Paracetamol due to his small size, as it

The Bermuda Triangle

Went for my Medical yesterday, and pleased to say the Doctor was really very nice and considerate of my situation, unlike the woman I saw previously!

But Winnersh Triangle is more like the Bermuda Triangle! Himself and I got off the train, to be confronted by loads of steps to get out of the station, luckily we were early, so I was able to take my time hobbling down them.

Checked the map we were given and set off into a huge industrial estate, after about approx 10 minutes we still hadn't found the place we were going too, even though we were standing on the spot indicated on the map (we are both competent map readers by the way). So started to look around for somebody to ask.

Long story short, after taking the scenic route we did get to the Medical Center eventually on

Glad that's Over

What a week it's been!!!

I've been highly stressed this week, some of my own making, but mostly because of others...

No news on the Medical front yet which is adding to the stress, I know I shouldn't let these things get to me, but sometimes its hard

It all started very randomly, with topics that I felt strongly about, but now seems to have settled into a pattern.

Gosh, now for the hard part I have to nominate my favorite Blogs for Awards:-
