The Gallery 112 ~ Movies

This weeks theme for The Gallery is Movies.

This was a hard one and I had a little help from Himself, whose idea was

"The Lady and The Tramp"

My dog Badger Boo has the most beautiful girlfriend called Cassie, and we are good friends with her mum. We only meet up a couple of times a year, but they are always pleased to see each other and have a loving relationship.

They both love the water and Badger Boo always looks like he has been dragged through a hedge backwards when wet, whilst Cassie keeps her beautiful and feminine looks.

Cassie is difficult to impress as you can see when she walks off. Poor Badger Boo but he always gets the girl in the end.

Stop the Ride, I Want to Get Off!

"Stop the Ride, I Want to Get Off!"

Have you ever heard those words as a roller-coaster sets off when someone changes their mind?

That's exactly how my life has been feeling for the past few weeks, the pain in my back is becoming unbearable! I can barely do anything at the moment. I can feel the big black cloud of Depression pushing it's way back into my brain.

The house is a mess as I struggle to keep on top of things. We've been eating processed food **muck** as I can't stand long enough to cook, just walking around the in house is absolute agony. How I wish we had a downstairs toilet, I stand at the bottom of the stairs and they look like an impossible challenge, it can take me several minutes to climb them, so I'm now spending a lot of time upstairs to avoid the climb.

All this extra back pain is on top of the Arthritis pain in my knees, hands and joints. My

Finger Physio Overload

I've been knitting like a mad thing over the last few weeks to try and get my jumper finished.

I took up knitting again as I was in serious need of some finger physio as I have Arthrits in my hands. To say things didn't go well at the start is an understatement and you can read about that little trauma here.

The pattern was simple enough knit four purl two, then the next row was purl four knit two, these two little stitches made quite an impressive pattern I thought.

Looks a lot more complicated than it is...

The theme for the Gallery this week is SKY I'm very lucky to have a fantastic view from my bedroom window and have caught some amazing shots of the sky.

This is one of my favorites as the sun was going down, to me it looks like two people doing a slow dance in fancy dress, what do you think?

A Note to my Followers

I have been looking through the Archive on Me, Myself and I and noticed that I seem to be putting more and more of my "Silent Sunday" and "Saturday is Caption Day" posts there.

I started that blog as a place for me to have a rant about life in general, too be newsy and for my general witterings about things that are going on and I feel I need to say.

From now on "Silent Sunday, Saturday is Caption Day and The Gallery" will be appearing on this blog, which started life as my hobby blog but soon developed into a photo blog, as photography is something I enjoy doing.
Never fear, Badger Boo will still have his own stand alone blog Badger Boo's Daft Adventures nothing has changed there.

I'm sorry if this has caused some confusion, but it has taken some time for me to decide on a format that I feel will work best.

Sun, Sea and Bus Rides

Last week we went on holiday to the Isle of Wight and stayed at Heathfield Farm what a lovely clean and quite site, the wardens Bob and Gaye were very pleasant and so helpful. Bob even padded up the grip on my crutch midweek when I started to get a nasty blister on my hand, he wanted nothing in return, nothing was too much trouble for them and they were very helpful about bus routes and where to go.

We were so lucky with the weather and this was the sunset we were greeted with on arrival to site.

The showers were spotlessly clean, although the disabled one didn't have any handrails or a seat, so I ended out using the normal showers so I was able to lean on the walls to wash my feet.

The grounds were spotless and well maintained and all the pitches

The Photo Gallery 110 ~ Emotion

The theme for The Gallery this week is Emotion.

These pictures contain a mixture of Pride, Happiness and Nostalgia.

As to whether Pride and Nostalgia are technically emotions I'm not really sure, but I feel them so they are emotions to me and Happiness is definitely one.

I was away at Summer Camp with Surrey Army Cadet Force and a
visiting Officer presented me with my Long Service and Good Conduct Medal.

I'm proud of the 16 years I volunteered, first as an Adult Instructor at detachments then as a Chef catering at many different functions.

It was a happy time, I did some amazing things and I had some fantastic friends.

The nostalgia of times past, of the things I could do before Arthritis became my constant companion forcing me to change direction.

Nutty Nuthatch

The Nuthatch that thinks he is a Budgerigar!

This Nuthatch obviously thinks that his reflection is a threat, he has never bothered with the mirror before.

I can only assume that it's now the mating season, and he wants his reflection gone, so he can have his lady friend all to himself.

It's amusing to watch, but if he carries on I will have to take the
mirror down, and I would hate for him to hurt himself.

The Gallery 109 ~ Sport

The theme for The Galley this week is Sport.

To me sport means one thing "Louis KO King" K1 Fighter.

Louis is the son of my school friend Denise, I have known him his whole life and followed his sporting career with much enthusiasm.

Louis is on the right, I can't remember his opponents name...

I took these pictures of him winning his second Professional Fight at Ceasers Palace in March 2010 from the VIP area. It was an amazing night and I lost my voice from all the cheering and screaming.
