Wow, that is stunning! My son made me take a photo of one of these in the spring, but I only had my phone with me, so it was nowhere near as good as this.
Thank you Emma, I 'm so glad you said it was a Shield Bug, I had no idea what it was, I saw it and decided to practice with my Macro lens and was very pleased with the results, the leg joints are fascinating..
I always have my HTC phone which has a great camera, and 90% of the time I also have a small Nikon in my bag, as I hate to miss a photo opportunity.
Then I have a big Fuji camera that I go out and about with once a week.
This picture was taken on the big Fuji when I was having a practice with the Macro lens, some people (Himself) say I have far too much time on my hands lol
Hope you didn't get too much of a fright when you saw it, I really should put some sort of a warning on my insect pictures, I forget not everyone is a fan of them.
I'm glad it was ok to send you the email, I wasn't too sure if it was appropriate to do so.
these little bugs are rather cool - I think the bright green ones in spring just pop out with attitude! Great picture - and what's wrong with getting out there and finding a few beautiful things with your big camera?!

Wow, what a fantastic picture. I don't think I have ever seen one of those. Is it in the UK?
ReplyDeleteIt is in the UK, I'd never seen one before but apparently it's a Shield Bug.
