A Dirty Dog is a Happy Dog

Boris is amazing, but he has one habit that isn't so amazing.
He loves to get filthy.
Every walk ends the same way, no matter how careful I am to avoid known puddles and muddy areas, he can seek out the smallest puddle to roll in.


He always looks so pleased with Himself, it's impossible to get upset, all you can do is smile and ensure there are plenty of towels in the car.


Boris has the most amazingly soft black shiny coat when it's not covered in mud and muck, so there's something to be said for mud baths, must try it out myself sometime to improve my own skin.


You can't deny his happy face, so out come the treats, which I know encourages him, but I can't deny him his enthusiasm and fun for life.


Boris is the living proof that a dirty dog is a happy dog, luckily all it takes to get him clean again is a quick brush once he's dried off and you'd never know he's a Mud Monster.

    Boris looks so cute and ready for a cuddle - but perhaps after a bath! I had a West Highland Terrier (she lived to 17!) who adored puddles too and would constantly transform herself from a white to black dog.

    I hear you! I have a spaniel who seeks out water where ever we are! They're such happy dogs though so it's hard not to let them have their fun is it.
