No Lesley its not Rhubarb, I don't know what it is, I was stuck by the wonderful colour, as on the next allotment. Never tried Chard before, but I don't eat stir fries either.
It is chard. Treat it like spinach. Strip out the stalks and eat the leaves raw in salads or wilted like spinach. Ask the allotment owner if you can try some :-)
