  1. Wow, that looks like a seriously flooded river. Hope it didn't make it into the houses.

  9. Thank you for your lovely comments.

Good news for us, we weren't affected by the flooding in Godalming as we live on a big hill, but Eashing where this picture was taken is approx half a mile away. I fear the water may have been a lot higher looking at the furthest house, it seemed to have a water line on it higher up.

We had no power over the whole Christmas period, so no heating or Christmas Dinner as we're all electric, but although Christmas was ruined I consider myself very lucky as I still have my home.

The clear up in Godalming has begun.

  11. Oh how awful, and to happen at Christmas just seems worse, glad to read you weren't affected by flooding but no power must have been horrid

  14. It really was a disaster for many in Godalming. We weren't flooded either but no power, no land line, no mobile network for 3 days left us very cut off. Great photo Dawn x.

  15. Thanks Lesley, we had problems with our landline too, but I then plugged in an old analogue phone and we then had contact with the outside world.

    Happy New Year
