Thank you for you lovely comment Amanda. At 47 it is tough to come to terms with how restricted my life is now. Have to wait until I'm 60 to get new knees on the NHS, so saving hard to get them done privately.
I'm lucky enough to be free of arthritis for the moment, but I have many friends and relatives with new joints. The new lease they get is really wonderful to watch. I'm sorry yours are still ailing you. :(
Great post...I felt the emotions in the poem.
ReplyDeleteThank you for your comment Joy, glad to hear the emotion was felt, it is so frustrating not running any more...
Delete'My companion Arthritis' - excellent line.
ReplyDeleteAnother great poem, Dawn x.
Thank you Lesley, pain can be a great inspiration at times xxx
DeleteDawn, your poem pulled me out of denial for a moment. It's sad to think of the things we used to love to do but no longer can.
ReplyDeleteThank you Donna, That is very true, so many things I miss doing these days, especially horse riding, but it's just too painful for me now :o( x
DeleteThat was awesome. Goes to show how age and disability can change your life!
