  1. Wow, that is stunning! My son made me take a photo of one of these in the spring, but I only had my phone with me, so it was nowhere near as good as this.

    1. Thank you Emma, I 'm so glad you said it was a Shield Bug, I had no idea what it was, I saw it and decided to practice with my Macro lens and was very pleased with the results, the leg joints are fascinating..

    1. Thank you, I think I should put a warning on some of my posts, not everyone like bugs as much as me, hope you didn't get too much of a fright...

    1. Thank you for such a lovely compliment Fiona.

I always have my HTC phone which has a great camera, and 90% of the time I also have a small Nikon in my bag, as I hate to miss a photo opportunity.

Then I have a big Fuji camera that I go out and about with once a week.

This picture was taken on the big Fuji when I was having a practice with the Macro lens, some people (Himself) say I have far too much time on my hands lol

    1. Hope you didn't get too much of a fright when you saw it, I really should put some sort of a warning on my insect pictures, I forget not everyone is a fan of them.

I'm glad it was ok to send you the email, I wasn't too sure if it was appropriate to do so.

    1. It is in the UK, I'd never seen one before but apparently it's a Shield Bug.

I'm seeing all sorts of things like this when out and about with my camera, just wish I knew more about our local wildlife.
